Pre-natal Yoga

Just started on Pre-natal yoga last week. Had initially wanted to attend Yoga lessons conducted by Colleen Simmonds coz it's really much cheaper and of course affordable. But was put off by the location.. Tanjong Rhu.. super ulu!! Besides, don't really like to go for classes after work.

Had decided to attend the centre Serena had recommended me to, where her colleague attends her pre-natal yoga class, Como Shambhala. It was quite a good experience and so, decided to sign up for a package. For first timers to the centre, you would get 1 free class when you sign up a package of 5 classes.

Hopefully, yoga will help me and give me an easier labour.

Weird Dream...

One night in the later part of December, just days before I had food poisoning, I dreamt that I had saved a little girl, who was sitting on a swing, from a snake. When I woke up, I told Ed, I think I am expecting a girl. I felt so because a friend had ever told me about her story. Her mum was not able to conceive for many years and had adopted a child. Few years later, one night, her mum dreamt of her grandmother telling her that there's 2 unwanted children outside (外面有两个别人不要的孩子) and had ask her to take them. Not long later, she was indeed pregnant with twins. My friend is one of the twins.

Was that a premonition?

Detailed Scan on 12 Jan 2011

Finally, I have reached mid-term and had gone for my detailed scan in my 21 wk. This time round, my baby was more co-operative and the scan was rather smooth. Only needed to scan once, without even needing the sonographer to wake her up. Looks like the prep talk me and Ed did the night before worked. She must be a Daddy's girl. Lol.

Throughout the scan, she was really active too! Kept moving about, wonder if she did somersault inside. Lol. The sonographer could feel her movement too! Strangely Ed can never feel it, as for now that is.

The detailed scan is rather interesting. The sonographer will scan and check the baby from head to toe, and even her internal organs, to see if she can detect any abnormalities. During the scan, she will detect the parts and tag them, like say the "head", the "mouth" etc. Will post some pictures which I took of the scan report. No softcopy, so I need to do it manually.

O ya, I forgot to double confirm, it's really a princess. O well, she will be my lucky star!! :) Will not post the picture of her butt though, haha, I am afraid she will murder me next time.
Her face, can see her mouth and face shape

Somehow, from the picture of the nose and lips below, I think her lips look like Ed's! It reminds me of how Ed looks when he is sleeping. :p Her nose and face shape, I think, looks like mine though. Anyway, it's still too early to say. 女大十八变

Her nose and lips

The picture below is interesting. I wonder how the sonographer managed to capture this!

Showing you her invincible foot!!

And lastly, tadaaa!! She must be hungry coz it was during lunch time when I did my scan. Maybe that explains why she was really active throughout the scan.

She must be hungry! Fingers in her mouth
By the way, based on the measurements taken, she's estimated to be 350g now. Ed wondered where the rest of the 6kg went. Yes. I have put on at least 6kg now!!! But, most importantly, my baby is healthy and normal, based on the scan. Weight issues, I can wait till after I give birth!!

Food Poisoning...

Had food poisoning a couple of weeks back, marking the end of 2010. Had initially woke up thinking I was down with cramp, and had gone to the gynae for a checkup. But Dr Tham didn't see any abnormalities or sort. No diarrhoea or anything prior to the checkup. However when I stepped home, I started visiting the toilet and the pain in my stomach was getting more intense. No choice, had to go to the GP. And she confirmed that I was down with food poisoning. Thinking back, must be the stale bread I ate the night before. I had suspected it was overdue before I ate it but hunger overcome the thought and I ended up with food poisoning. :(

Nonetheless, the trip to the gynae was not at all futile. My baby was facing outside and Dr Tham managed to see that I was expecting a girl. Nothing in between the legs. Lol. So, the chinese gender prediction calendar had failed! I conclude, there's really no such thing as gender prediction. All's fated. Well, but will double confirm in the detailed scan in the 21st wk.

Here's a picture of her face.. I think her hand is over her nose..

Her hand seems to be covering her nose
